Excellent fishing for guided parties on Lake Livingston this past weekend out of Bethy Creek Marina and Resort.

Black Bass to 6lbs caught in the river on bear paw lizards fished in the log jams and in the creek under boat houses on creature baits and jigs.

White Bass good on the main lake off the old river channel and on the 190 road bed on slabs at 10 to 15 ft. and on trolled pet spoons trolled around Dove Island. South west wind in the am. held the best fishing mid day.

Excellent fishing for Largemouth Bass continues on Lake Livingstons north end out of Bethy Creek Marina. Fish to five pounds taken recently on jigs, craw worms and wacky worms in the creeks and in the river channel. Water is in excellent shape.

Bethy Creek customer with catfish caught in the river channel on rod and reel baited with fresh dead minnow.

Good fishing in Bethy Creek recently for schooling White Bass up to 16" and hybrids to 22". Best baits are 1/4 oz. rattle traps and 1/4 oz. Bear Paw Jigs.

Black Bass in Bethy are taking soft plastic worms and craw worms near the cut banks and boat houses close to deeper water.

Crappie fishing has been very good up Bethy creek on jigs and minnows around brush tops.

Catfish good on jugs baited with fresh shad. Catfish bite has also been good on fresh dead minnows tight lined around cuts in the river channel.

Lake Livingston Fishing

The Trinity River Authority reports a lake level of 131.18 with a discharge of 24,000 cfs.

Surface water temperature is around 76-80'. The main lake is " streaky" with fresh run off from rains to the north coming down the Trinity River channel. Clear areas of the lake have been producing good catches of White Bass, Strippers and Large mouth. White Bass fishing has remained good in the Pine Island, Penwaugh, and Dove Island areas. Large Mouth have been taken recently up the creeks keying on cattails wood and rock.

Catfishing has been good all over the lake and is excellent now in the river Channel at Riverside in moving water. Crappie fishing has been fair around boat houses. Excellent bow fishing in flooded back waters.

Bethy Creek Marina and Resort - Good crappie fishing around the boat stalls and excellent cat fishing in the river channel. Black bass fair on soft plastic.

Harmon Creek Marina and Resort - Good cat fishing on jug lines in the Harmon Creek flats. Good Black Bass in flooded vegetation, White Bass fair in the creek. Lake Livingston Fishing

Cove Marina - Excellent Cat fishing with rod and reel in the river channel. Good Black Bass fishing in flooded vegetation at Thomas Lake on soft plastic and crank baits off points.

White Rock City - Catfish good in the creek, crappie fair on live bait. Black Bass good in the creek in log jams with soft plastic.

Sandy Creek Marina - White Bass continued good around Dove Island with some schooling Whites at Dove Island and up Kickapoo Creek. Catfish good on jug lines with fresh shad.

Broken Arrow Marina - Fair Crappie fishing up Kickapoo Creek, Good Black Bass fishing good in cattails and cut banks.

Browders - Cat fishing good in the main lake, White Bass good around Pine Island.

Indian Creek - good Catfish on jug lines.

Cape Royal - Good catfish on jug lines, White Bass good on slabs near Pine Island.

Penwaugh - Fair Black Bass fishing around the marina, excellent bream fishing, good White Bass in Walker Lake.

Harts Creek - good catfish on trot lines in the flats.

Freedom Shores Marina and Resort - reports good cat fishing in the river channel and improved fishing for Black bass in White Rock and Caney Creeks.
